In this richly atmospheric Western scene, Duane Bryers depicts a pioneer family preparing to continue their journey across the American frontier. Set beneath a colorful sky of orange, purple, and blue, a young man gathers branches in the foreground while a young girl looks toward the distant horizon. Nearby, their parents prepare the covered wagon and horses for the journey ahead.
Bryers was known for his ability to bring the history of the American West to life through scenes filled with character and narrative. Through the quiet activities of each family member and the expansive landscape surrounding them, he captures both the challenges and hopes of pioneer life. In A Time to Remember, Bryers reflects on family, perseverance, and the determination of those who journeyed west in search of a new beginning.
